Mischa Bredewold

The talented Mischa Bredewold began racing for Team SD Worx this season, in her third year as a pro. Bredewold, who hopes to develop mainly in the hilly terrain and on the longer climbs, stresses that the first conversation with Danny Stam and team manager Anna van der Breggen immediately felt good and familiar. "Both expressed confidence in me, so it was a logical step to choose Team SD Worx. It is an honour to ride for the best team in the world. Here it is all about team spirit and I like that. The riders ride together for one goal and go through fire for each other, which is how they win many races. That appealed to me."

Sports manager Danny Stam added: "In the Netherlands, we are going to have a new generation setting the tone in one or two years' time. Mischa Bredewold can also belong to the core of that new generation. She has made strides in recent years and I think she can continue that progression in our squad."

There is no lack of ambition for Bredewold, who already took her first World Tour win last season. "I hope to develop in the coming years in such a way that I am among the best Dutch riders. I know that at Team SD Worx I will get the opportunities and confidence to do so. I am very happy to be a part of this super team. If there is a team where I can see how to win races, it is with Team SD Worx. With my first World Tour victory, I proved that I am capable of being in the finals at the highest level and finish it off. I hope to do my bit this season already with a number of wins. "
