Marlen Reusser immediately made her mark at Team SD Worx. The Swiss proved an indispensable pawn in the classic spring and, among other things, played an important role in Lotte Kopecky's victory in the Tour of Flanders. In the Tour de France Femmes, she managed a solo of more than 20 kilometres in the tough gravel stage to Bas-Sur-Aube. "I became a better rider here. I learned that the time between races is at least as important as your efforts in training or in the race. Only when everything is balanced can you get results."

"In addition, I learned a lot tactically. How you create a course together with your teammates and thus win races together. We showed that in the Tour of Flanders, among others, and that really was a gamechanger. Yet 2022 was also difficult at times. In the second part of the season I struggled with injuries and illnesses. But never was I put under pressure by the team to return. "If there is any doubt, you don't race. Your health is the most important thing." That freedom and respect motivates me even more to be fully committed to the team."

'La Reusser' looks ahead to the season ambitiously. "I have big goals in mind. I want to be really good in the classics and the Tour of Flanders is high on my wish list. I am focusing a little less on time trial this year. Those goals are mainly in 2024 with the world championships at home and, of course, the Olympics."

Ik ben hier een betere renner geworden. Om in een team te rijden met zoveel sterke renners, dat is een gamechanger.
