Lonneke Uneken is starting her fifth season for Team SD Worx-Protime. She likes the DNA of the Dutch WorldTeam."This team feels like a family to me. If you support each other, you achieve great results as a team. The Lotto Thüringen Tour will always stay with me as the stage race where we as a team really achieved something unique by each winning a stage and achieving a 1-2-3 in the general classification. I'm glad I could be part of that. Although 2023 was not the best year for me personally. I started the season off difficultly but recovered. When I was just getting back into it and could look forward to the Giro Donne, I broke my collarbone at a bad time. As a result, part of the rest of the season fell through. So you can count on me being extra hungry to do better in 2024."

Sports manager, Danny Stam: “Lonneke Uneken is considered a talent. Only 2023 was an unfortunate season for her. She had some setbacks, both physically and mentally. And that has played tricks on her. It’s a bit of a vicious circle you get stuck in. We also saw in the data that she was almost overtrained at a certain point. At such a young age, that’s a shame. You only have a few years as a top athlete, so together with Lonneke we hope to get the maximum out of it again in 2024.”
