Jip van den Bos finished third today in the afternoon stage of day 4 of the Healthy Ageing Tour. This morning stage 4 was kicked-off with a TT over 15km which was won by Ellen van Dijk. Anna van der Breggen finished 3rd at 13 seconds of van Dijk.
This afternoon a 75km stage was won bij the strong Lisa Brennauer for Anouschka Koster. The duo broke away as the bunch entered the local circuit. With 12 km to go Jip van den Bos tried to close the gap to the leaders. She came within 25 seconds but didnt manage to close the gap further. She later got company from former Boels-Dolmans teammember Anna Plichta which was no match for Jip in the battle for third place.
"I actually wasnt feeling that good after the crash in Flanders. And when the two leaders were out I actually wanted to attack to make the race harder. The peleton let me go and first I tought I may get to them. After the gap increased I wasn't feeling that strong anymore. To sprint for third was the maximum for today."
In the GC Amy Pieters is the first Boels-Dolmans rider at fourth place 57 seconds behind the leader Lisa Klein.
