Lorena Wiebes sprints to third place in final stage of UAE Tour
Team SD Worx closed the UAE Tour with two podium finishes, a top-ten finish and a win. In the final stage it came down to a sprint again, in which Lorena Wiebes finished third. "We lost each other a bit in the chaos, so it was gambling. I made a mistake and started too early. Losing is never fun, but this is instructive for the future."

Lorena Wiebes rushes to first win of the season in second stage of UAE Tour
Lorena Wiebes took the first win of the season in Al Mirfa for Team SD Worx. A day after her second place in the opening stage, the European champion convincingly won the bunch sprint. "The wind played a big role today, but we were continuously where we needed to be. I was brought perfectly by our lead-out, after which I was able to finish. I am very happy with this," Wiebes said.

Lorena Wiebes fights back after late crash and sprints to second place in UAE Tour
Team SD Worx kicked off the season today with a second-place finish for Lorena Wiebes in the opening stage of the UAE Tour. The 23-year-old European champion was involved in a crash 3.8 kilometres from the line, but fought her way back into the peloton and sprinted to second place after all. "Of course I am bummed about that crash, because that always takes strength. I was brought perfectly, but came up just that little bit short. Tomorrow there will be another chance," said a combative Lorena Wiebes.

Lorena Wiebes aims to colour debut for Team SD Worx with stage win in UAE Tour
Team SD Worx kicks off the 2023 season in the UAE Tour (9-12 FEB). Lorena Wiebes will defend Team SD Worx colours in the United Arab Emirates for the first time, as will Femke Markus and Barbara Guarischi. Also featuring Lonneke Uneken, the sprint train will roll out for the first time in the flat stages. Niamh Fisher-Black and Anna Shackley will get a change in the climbing stage. "I'm at the start to win," said motivated Lorena Wiebes.
